Dhaka, Feb 17 (bdnews24.com) — The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations of 2012 will begin across the country from Apr 1, under 10 education boards.
The education ministry approved the exam schedule on Thursday.
Inter-education board coordination sub-committee and Dhaka Education Board chairman Prof. Fahima Khatun sent the proposed exam schedule to the ministry on Feb 12 for approval.
According to the schedule, the written examinations for HSC would end on May 20. The HSC practical tests would have to be held in between May 23 and Jun 6.
The ministry ordered finishing the Alim, the HSC equivalent exam under the madrasa board, practical and oral exams before May 17.
However, the HSC (vocational) practical tests, under the technical education board, would have to be finished in between May 2 and May 8. The ministry also ordered finishing the HSC (Business Management) oral exams by May 8.
The examinees will not be allowed to bring cell phones to the examination centres, but will be allowed normal scientific calculators.
