Dhaka, Aug 13 (BDNEWS) – Verdict in the plot allotment case against former autocrat Hussein Muhammad Ershad will be placed on August 27.
First Additional Metropolitan and Sessions Judge Majibar Rahman Sunday fixed the date of the verdict in presence of Ershad.
Ershad, during his tenure, allegedly provided some 49 plots to his kinsmen violating the rules. The plots were not approved by the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartipakhkha (Rajuk), says the prosecution story.
A case was filed against Ershad on April 24, 1991 with Motijheel police station in this connection.
On August 17, verdict will be given in corruption case against him for evading tax. On the same day, judgment in two separate cases over ship purchase and Cemetar deal for Haripur Oil Field against him will be handed down.
