UNDP extends CHT project on renewed Sweden backing

The United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) ‘governance and confidence building’ programme in the Chittagong Hill Tracts has been extended.

The agency on Sunday said the programme would continue until September next year as its financier Sweden extended support.

 

The programme aims to help solve long-standing challenges to development in the region”.

 

The project also engages journalists and civil society organisations for promoting human rights and gender empowerment.
