Dhaka, May 6 (bdnews24.com) – A former geography teacher of Dhaka University, Professor Nazrul Islam, has been appointed to the University Grants Commission as chairman, the education ministry said in a statement Sunday.
Professor Islam told bdnews24.com that the UGC secratary had informed him about his new assignment, but he did not get a confirmation letter.
After the end of the tenure of Dr Assaduzzan, UGC member Dr Mahub Ullah was working as acting chairman.
