There were 22 wounds on Sagar's body – 11 in the back and as many in the front, Dhaka Medical College's forensic department physician Dr Sohel Mahmud, who made the report, told bdnews24.com on Tuesday.
Some small wounds were also found in several parts of the body, he said.
"Meherun Runi had two deep stabs on her belly. She had two small injuries on her forehead. She died from excessive bleeding after her main vein was cut off," the doctor said.
The post-mortem report has been submitted to the police station, he said.
"No other reason than strikes by sharp weapons were found to have caused the deaths," he added.
Maasranga Television news editor Sagar and ATN Bangla senior reporter Runi were found murdered early on Saturday at their rented flat in west Rajabazar.
