SSC question paper leak ‘adverts’ on Facebook taunt authorities

After spreading the leaked question papers of the first SSC test this year on the internet, scammers are now taunting the education authorities on Facebook pages with similar leaks in the next exam.

Question paper leaked, circulated again on Facebook on first day of SSC tests

On Thursday, the leaked multiple choice question or MCQ section of Bangla Paper 1 surfaced on these pages and groups around half an hour before test started, just like leaks in previous public tests.

Bangla Paper 2 test is scheduled to be held from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, and these pages and groups are assuring the unscrupulous candidates of providing the leaked question paper again.

Some have posted images of the leaked question paper with the original one to prove their 'ability'.

Some are asking for a little money while the others are providing the leaked papers free.

An ID, ‘Jisan Khan’, wrote one of the posts resembling advertisements on the group - ‘SSC Question Out 100% Common All BD Rezult Change 2018+19+20All BoarD’.

“#ATtenson PLZ# -----BANGLA 2 ParT----- It’s impossible to add so many people in Messenger or WhatsApp group. So we will post the leaked question paper with answers directly on our group. Please post more comments and remember the name of our group,” the post reads.

Another ID, ‘Rakib Hasan’, posted the images of the leaked question paper and the original one on the group - ‘PSC_JSC_SSC_HSC_Degree out question bank.(R)’.

“Please check the time when we provided the leaked question paper. We hope you have the proof now that we will be able to provide the leaked question paper of Bangla Part 2 also. Please inbox us if you need the 100 percent real question paper.”

Similar advertisements are also being made on the groups titled ‘SSC Question Out’, ‘PSC JSC SSC HSC Real Question Out All Board 100% Common’, ‘PSC JSC SSC HSC Real Question Out All Board 100% Common Suggestion & Out Question’, ‘PSC_JSC_SSC_HSC_Degree out question bank.(R)’, ‘ssc exam question out 2018’.

All these groups have 5,000 to 6,000 members each. But the numbers of members of ‘PSC JSC SSC HSC Real Question Out All Board 100% Common Suggestion & Out Question’, and ‘ssc exam question out 2018’ groups are surprisingly high - 22,000 and 34,000 respectively.

Over 2 million students are taking the SSC and equivalents exams for the first time this year with the same question papers in all education boards.

Ever since some Facebook pages and groups made the announcement on continuing leaking question papers of the SSC and HSC exams after leaking those of the PEC and JSC tests last year, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid has been issuing stern warnings against the malpractice for some days.

But the leaked question paper, including answers, of multiple choice question or MCQ section of the first SSC test, surfaced on a number of Facebook and Messenger groups half an hour before the exam.

In their frantic bid to plug question leaks, authorities have made it mandatory for students to enter the exam centres half an hour before the tests begin, but the rule was apparently enforced in a relaxed manner on Thursday.

During a visit to an exam centre in Dhaka in the morning, Nahid said any evidence of question leaks would lead to the cancellation of SSC tests.

But when bdnews24.com tried to contact him for comments as the leak of the question paper was confirmed after the end of the test, his mobile phone was unreachable.

When bdnews24.com informed Dhaka education board examinations controller Tapan Kumar Sarker by phone about the leak, he denied the fact.
