Moulvibazar, May 1 (bdnews24.com) – A python at a local wildlife freak's mini zoo has laid about 35 eggs in Sreemangal Upazila.
Zoo owner Sitesh Ranjan Deb said, "This is the third time it has laid eggs." But he could not give the exact number of eggs.
He said the incubation process will take 60-75 days. "The male python will protect the female one while she fasts through these days."
He had rescued the couple three years ago from Dinarpur hills in Nabiganj Upazila of Habiganj.
His son and director of the zoo Sajal Deb told bdnews24.com that this python had laid 38 eggs in 2002 and 30 eggs in 2004.
