Dhaka, Aug 12 (BDNEWS) – Prokirti Foundation has awarded a reporter and a photojournalist with its special laurels for their special contributions to journalism in 2004.
Sharifuzzaman Pintu of the Daily Janakantha received the laurel for his much-talked-about serial report 'Bichar Pai Na, Tai Bichar Chai Na' (Justice is not sought as there is no justice} and The Daily Sangbad photojournalist Shihab Uddin for his photograph Asray O Nishchit Jatra' (Definite Shelter and Definite Journey).
The awards were handed over to the recipients at a function at the National Press Club Friday morning.
The Daily Sangbad executive editor Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul chaired the function while ADD Bangladesh Country representative Mosharraf Hossain, Radio Veritas Asian Philippine's Bureau chief Father Koraia, ATN Bangla chief advisor Saiful Bari and Prokriti secretary Saifuddin Sabuj, among others, spoke at the function.
