Dhaka, May 9 (bdnews24.com) – The president, speaker, deputy speaker and cabinet members condoled the death of prime minister Sheikh Hasina's husband nuclear scientist Dr. M A Wazed Miah.
Miah, 66, died on Saturday afternoon after prolonged illness at Square Hospital in Dhaka.
Pointing out Miah's contribution in the development of science and technology, speaker Abdul Hamid said, "Through his death, the nation lost a talented nuclear scientist and a freethinker."
He expressed sympathy for the bereaved family and prayed for the salvation of the departed soul.
