The competition is being organised following the just concluded ‘Girl Summit 2014’ in the UK.
The summit mobilised domestic and international efforts to end child and forced marriage within a generation – everywhere, including Bangladesh.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina joined the summit and gave her support.
The British High Commission in Dhaka said the competition carrying the theme ‘save your rights, combat forced marriage’ was aimed at creating greater awareness.
The posters sized 17” by 22” must reach by Sep 25 either by email at ‘firstname.lastname@example.org’ or by post to its consulate office in Sylhet.
A jury of three members will evaluate all posters, taking into account the title, elaboration of the theme, originality, aesthetic merits, and the chosen technique.
The jury will select three posters that best fulfil the award criteria.
The High Commission’s consular team will host a ceremony to announce the winners.
The High Commission, however, says all the submitted posters will be put on display at an art exhibition.
It will also retain any intellectual property rights relating to the submitted posters.
