Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has arrived in Paris to attend the One Planet Summit, where world leaders will discuss ways to accelerate efforts to fight climate change.

The Emirates Airlines flight carrying Hasina and her entourage took off from the Dhaka airport shortly after 10am (BdST) on Monday and reached the Charles de Gaulle Airport in France around 7:45pm local time after a one-and-half-hour stopover in Dubai.
Bangladesh Ambassador in France Kazi Imtiaz Hossain welcomed Hasina and her entourage at the airport.
She then went to the InterContinental Paris - Le Grand hotel where she is staying during her visit to France.
Among others, her sister Sheikh Rehana, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, Foreign Secretary Md Shahidul Haque and Environment and Forest Secretary Istiaque Ahmed, are accompanying her.
Two years to the day after the historic Paris Agreement was concluded, the summit will bring together local, regional and national leaders, as well as those working in public and private finance to discuss how they can support global efforts to fight climate change.
The summit will welcome its participants at La Seine Musicale, a stunning location in the western suburbs of Paris.
Bangladesh being a vulnerable climate country has signed the historic Paris climate agreement on the opening day of the signatures at the UN headquarters in New York in April.
Hasina is scheduled for a bilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday.
She will then join a luncheon hosted by Macron for the leaders attended the summit.
The prime minister will attend the high-level segment of the summit with other world leaders in the afternoon.
Later in the evening, she is expected to attend a reception hosted by expatriate Bangladeshis in Paris.
Hasina is scheduled to fly for Dhaka on Wednesday and expected to arrive the next day.
