The committee headed by Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury took the decision on Wednesday afternoon, a few hours before the adjourned session was set to resume.
Leader of the House Sheikh Hasina was present in the meeting. The Leader of the Opposition was, however, absent.
Director of the Parliament Secretariat's Public Relations Division Joynal Abedin told reporters, "A decision has been made to extend the 19th session of Parliament until Nov 7.
“The speaker has been given the responsibility to decide if the session needs to be shortened or extended."
