Gazipur, Aug 19 (bdnews24.com) -- Humayun Ahmed's family from his second marriage will be spending Eid day at Nuhash Palli, the place where the famed author was buried after his death.
His second wife, Meher Afroz Shaon, her two sons Nishad and Ninit, mother MP Tohura Ali, father Engineer Mohammad Ali and two sisters are set to arrive on Sunday at the retreat built by the author himself. They will be returning on Eid night.
"It is not like there will be any special arrangement at Nuhash Palli for Eid. But the children will like being there, so we will be going," Shaon told bdnews24.com.
She added that she knows that the children would not be able to pay their respect to Humayun's grave in the traditional manner, "My elder son Nishad said that he would caress the grave to express his love to his father."
"When their father was alive, they would wear same type of Punjabi and hold his hand and go to the prayer. I will miss the scene a lot."
Meanwhile, Humayun's younger brother cartoonist Ahsan Habib said that the writer's children from his first marriage, Nuhash Ahmed, Nova Ahmed, Shila Ahmed and Bipasha Ahmed, will be spending their Eid in Dhaka.
He added that the family has plans to visit Humayun's grave to pay respect to the author. However, they are yet to finalise the date.
Nuhash Palli's Manager Saiful Islam Bulbul said that the retreat would be open for all until Aug 28 as they are expecting fans of the writer to visit his grave.
