Nine secretaries lose jobs (Update)

Nine secretaries with contractual appointments have lost jobs in the first move of the caretaker government to shuffle the civil service, an official announcement said Monday.

Dhaka, Oct 30 (bdnews24.com) – Nine secretaries with contractual appointments have lost jobs in the first move of the caretaker government to shuffle the civil service, an official announcement said Monday.
Kamal Uddin Siddiqui, principal secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, has been asked to leave office, a day before his term ends.
Planning Commission Member Ali Imam Majumder has been appointed principal secretary to the chief adviser.
Other officials ordered out of jobs are: Agriculture Secretary Kazi Abdul Kashem, Labour Secretary Sujauddin Ahmed, Secretary at the PMO Khondoker Shahidul Islam, Communications Secretary Shafiqul Islam, President's Secretary Akhtar Hossain Khan, Works Secretary Iqbal Uddin Ahmed, Inland Water Transport Secretary Rafiqul Islam and Information Secretary Abdul Qayyum, former IGP.
Home Secretary Safar Raj Hossain and LGRD Secretary SM Jahrul Islam have been ordered to swap jobs.
The move came a day after President Iajuddin Ahmed tapped himself for the caretaker government as its chief adviser.
Secretary to the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) Rafiqul Islam, transferred only days ago, will return to the President's Office.
Planning Commission Member Abdul Aziz will be agriculture secretary. Planning Commission Member Aminul Islam Bhuiyan will move to the communications ministry.
Rural Development Secretary Shaikh Enayetullah has been posted to the inland water transport ministry.
Primary and Mass Education Secretary AKM Shamsuddin will move to the women and children affairs ministry.
Expatriates Welfare Secretary Ashfaq Hamid will take charge of labour. Women and Children Affairs Secretary Kamal Uddin Ahmed will work as information secretary.
Power Secretary ANH Akhtar Hossain will be IMED secretary. SM Zafarullah of the Military Land Directorate has been made acting public works secretary.
Additional Secretary for the Economic Relations Division Badiur Rahman will be acting power secretary.
Land Appeal Board Member Bhupendra Chandra Debnath will move to the Planning Commission as member in charge.
Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation Chairman Kazi Aminul Islam will be another acting member of the Planning Commission.
Bangladesh Betar DG AFM Matiur Rahman will be acting secretary at the rural development division.
Bangladesh Forest Industries Development Corporation Didarul Anwar will move to the expatriates welfare ministry as acting secretary.
Bangladesh Rural Development Academy DG Abdul Huq will be acting secretary at the Primary and Mass Education Division.
