Dhaka Mar 16 (bdnews24.com)—The government has appointed a new head of National Security Intelligence (NSI) replacing Maj Gen Shaikh Monirul Islam.
A retired army officer, Manzur Ahmed, will run NSI on a two-year contract, the government said Monday. Ahmed, of the 2nd Short Service Commission, left the army as a brigadier general.
Gen Islam, of the 6th Short Service Commission, will be director general at government think-tank BIISS.
