"RAB has murdered my son-in-law taking Tk 60 million from Councillor Nur Hossain, Siddhirganj Awami League General Secretary Haji Yasin Miah and others accused," said Islam's father-in-law Shahidul Islam alias Shahid Chairman.

He was speaking at the Narayanganj Rifles Club on Sunday afternoon, where Narayanganj-4 MP Shamim Osman was present.

"Eyewitnesses to the abduction on Apr 27 told me that there was a car at the scene marked RAB-11," he said adding that he had immediately informed Awami League leader Osman of the matter.

"Shamim Osman advised me to meet the CO (commanding officer) of RAB-11 at Siddhirganj's Adamjee."

According to Shahid Chairman, the RAB CO held him for six hours and questioned.

"It is RAB who killed the seven including my son-in-law Nazrul. I wanted to file a case against the officers including the RAB CO after the abduction.

“But the SP and Fatulla Model Police Station OC did not record my case.

"They said that a case cannot be filed against government officials," Shahid Chairman further alleged.
