Dhaka, Feb 15 (bdnews24.com) – Food secretary Molla Waheeduzzaman has been appointed secretary to the Prime Minister's Office, an establishment ministry circular issued Sunday said.
An officer of the 1981 Bangladesh Civil Service batch, Waheeduzzaman is replacing Kazi Aminul Islam, who was moved to the establishment ministry Thursday for preparations to start his new career with the World Bank as its alternative executive director.
Other high-level reshuffle within the government includes the posting of women and children affairs secretary Rokeya Sultana to the labour and employment ministry.
Mridula Bhattacharya, officer on special duty, has been posted as the acting women and children affairs secretary and acting labour and employment secretary Mokhlesur Rahman as acting expatriates welfare and employment secretary.
Acting Planning Commission member Habibullah Majumder has been made acting secretary to the commission, and acting Planning Commission secretary Abdur Razzak made cting Planning Commission member.
Director general of the Bureau of Manpower and Employment Training Abdul Malek has been made acting Planning Commission member and Syed Manjurul Islam, OSD, has been transferred as additional energy and mineral resources secretary.
