Dhaka, Aug 28 (bdnews24.com) -- Hasmat Jahan Hasu, wife of the late freedom fighter Abdul Kuddus Makhon, died early Thursday at the age of 61, a relative said.
Hasu, who had been suffering from cancer for a long period, died at the capital's United Hospital shortly after 4 am, her relative Ashfaq Ahmed Khan told bdnews24.com.
Her namaz-e-janaza would be held at Gulshan's Azad mosque after asr prayers, Ashfaq
Khan said.
The qulkhwani of the late freedom fighter's wife would be held on Sunday after magrib prayers, he added.
Makhon was one of the legendary student leaders who organised the campus campaign towards the 1971 war that led to the birth of Bangladesh.
