President’s message
President Abdul Hamid prayed for continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation and the Muslims of the world.
“Eid teaches us peace, empathy and brotherhood, ties us together in equality and friendship,” he said in his message.
He called on everyone to reflect the values of Eid in their personal, social and national lives.
“Let Eid bring joy to the lives of all of us, rich or poor,” he said.
Prime minister’s message
“Eid brings everyone together in affection, harmony and unity,” Hasina said in her message.
She expressed the hope that the learnings of Eid-ul-Fitr would help create a better and more prosperous society.
She prayed for the continued wellbeing of the nation and the Muslims of the world.
Khaleda Zia’s greetings
The BNP chairperson said in her message that Eid created a spirit of brotherhood, overcoming social injustice and inequality.
“Eid-ul-Fitr brings together the rich and the poor, the great and the small, defying all social barriers and tying the humanity together,” Khaleda said.
She called on the nation to extend their help for the poor and disadvantaged.
Raushon’s message
The Opposition Leader has urged the nation to leave behind hatred, jealousy and pride to begin a new life on the occasion of Eid.
“After a long month of restraint, people from all walks of life will stand on the same grounds side by side to pray, which must inspire a new way of life,” she said.
Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad also greeted the nation on Eid and called on everyone to stand by the oppressed people of Palestine.
“Eid-ul-Fitr brings the message of peace and harmony for us. It is a time to stand united and support the oppressed people of Palestine,” he said.
