Dhaka, Feb 8 (bdnews24.com)—A Dhaka court sent journalist Syed Borhan Kabir, convicted in a fraud case, to jail following his arrest at his business office Friday morning.

Metropolitan magistrate Habibur Rahman Siddiqui ordered Borhan to the Dhaka Central Jail after he had been produced before the metropolitan court.
The metropolitan sessions judge's court sentenced Kabir to one year in jail and fined him Tk 30,000 on Nov 20 in his absence.
Police Friday told the court that the convict had been on the run.
Ramna police chief Doulat Akbar told bdnews24.com: "We arrested him at 10:30am on a warrant of arrest issued by the court."
