He said Bangladesh has written to India on Nur Hossain's arrest and is awaiting reply.
“We can only comment after India's official response,” he said at Pan Pacific Sonargoan Hotel while meeting visiting Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen to check on his health.
Hun Sen cancelled his morning meetings, Alam said, for a 'bit of sickness.'
But he said, “It’s nothing serious.”
Hun Sen's talks with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be held as scheduled in the afternoon, he said.
Alam told journalists that they had written to the Indian authority on home ministry’s request.
He said the government would let media known once they have the details.
