Dhaka, Aug 25 (bdnews24.com)—Police have arrested Ibn Sina Hospital doctor Syed Anwarul Abedin and three staff over 'negligent death' of an infant at the hospital.
Dhanmondi Police Station officer-in-charge Mohammad Maniruzzaman confirmed bdnews24.com of the arrests from the hospital on Thursday.
The arrests came after the High Court earlier in the day had ordered the arrest of Ibn Sina Trustee Board members, excluding the chairman, over the same charges.
The police officer said, "Syed Anwarul Abedin is the chief accused in the case filed by the infant's father Idris Shikdar."
The other arrestees are general manager Aminul Islam, and assistant administrative officers Kamrul Hasan and Akhtar Hossain Khan.
