Hasina visits the house of her daughter's in-laws in Faridpur

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has visited the house of her son-in-law's parental home during a tour to Faridpur.

LGRD Minister Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain is the father-in-law of prime minister's daughter Saima Wazed Hossain.

PM Hasina had lunch with family members of the house during the visit on Wednesday.

Hasina went to the Circuit House first after a helicopter carrying her landed at Sheikh Jamal Stadium in Faridpur town at 11:40am.

She went to the house of Khandaker Mosharraf at Badarpur later in the afternoon, Faridpur Deputy Commissioner Umme Salma Tanzia told bdnews24.com.

Khandaker Mosharraf and Saima's husband Khandaker Mashrur Hossain welcomed her to the house.

She stayed there for two hours, and during the stay, the PM offered Zuhr prayers there.

Later she joined an Awami League rally at Government Rajendra College ground.

She also inaugurated 20 development projects and laid foundation stones of 11 others during the visit. This was her first visit to the district after 2008.
