Dhaka May 6 (bdnews24.com)— Prime minister Sheikh Hasina went to see her husband Dr M A Wazed Miah whose condition had become critical on Wednesday at the capital's Square Hospital.
"His condition is stable now," Prof Sanwar Hossain said and added that they had taken him to the operating theatre after the condition turned critical.
Hasina drove to the hospital just before 3pm to see him. Her sister Sheikh Rehana was with her. The prime minister looked dejected when she was leaving the hospital.
A nuclear scientist, Dr Miah recently had angioplasty at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. He underwent a bypass surgery in 1997.
He has long been suffering also from high blood pressure, renal failure, diabetes and asthma.
