The government has appointed retired secretary Nazrul Islam Khan Chairman of the National Wages and Productivity Commission.

The labour and employment ministry has also appointed 16 members and a member secretary to the Commission.
The circular on the appointments, issued on July 21, said the Commission’will have a six-months but the government can extend it.
Former education secretary Khan retired on Nov 30 last year. He has been the curator of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum since March.
The former bureaucrat has also been appointed as a director of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
