Fire breaks out at Gazipur garment factory

A fire has erupted at a readymade garment factory in Gazipur on Tuesday morning.

The eight-storey factory building of Matrix Sweater Ltd caught fire some time after 7am, said Tongi Fire Service’s Station Officer Morshedul Islam.

He said six fire-fighting unit have already reached the spot.

But the fire service official could not provide any details on how the fire broke out or whether there were any casualties.
