They both served as her aides during her last term in office.

Their contractual appointment will last until the Prime Minister’s tenure or a change in her decision, the Public Administration Ministry said in an order on Tuesday. Awami League’s Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul Alam Hanif was a special assistant of the Prime Minister in the previous term but he was dropped four months before the government’s tenure expired.
