Dhaka, Oct 8 (bdnews24.com)—One of DGFI's most visible officers has been promoted and will take up a new role as director general of Ansars and VDP, official sources said.
ATM Amin, director of counter terrorism at the directorate general of forces intelligence (DGFI), was promoted to the rank of major general along with two other officers.
While Amin will immediately report to the home ministry for his appointment as head of the auxiliary force, Abul Kalam Mohammad Azad, now major general, will be the new General Officer Commanding for the Comilla-based army division.
Abu Belal Md. Shafiul Haq, another newly-promoted major general, will be director general at Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS).
Amin often appeared on TV shows to highlight the government's counter-terrorism activities and other issues.
