Dhaka, Feb 27 (bdnews24.com) – Fashion designer Shahrukh Shahid died on Saturday. He was 47.
Shahrukh was at work in his Dhanmondi studio when he suffered a stroke, a family member said.
The unconscious designer was taken to Bangladesh Medical College Hospital and then to Square Hospital where duty doctors declared him dead at around 10.30pm.
"Shahrukh was already dead when he was brought in," duty doctor at Square Hospital's emergency ward Michael David told bdnews24.com.
Shahrukh is the son of the late Shahidul Haque, who was editor of Bangladesh Times. His brother Shahriar Shahid is the editor of state-run news agency Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha.
