The shake-up follows the fall of the Awami League government

Just a day after the fall of the Awami League government, changes have been made to Bangladesh's military leadership.
The Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate, or ISPR, issued a statement detailing the reshuffle on Moday afternoon.
In latest developments, Major General Ziaul Ahsan has been relieved of his duties, while Lieutenant General Md Saiful Alam has been assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The reshuffle also includes the following appointments:
· Lieutenant General Md Mujibur Rahman appointed General Officer Commanding, or GOC, of the Army Training and Doctrine Command.
· Lieutenant General Ahmed Tabrez Shams Chowdhury made the Quartermaster General of Bangladesh Army.
· Lieutenant General Mizanur Rahman Shamim appointment the Chief of General Staff of the Army.
· Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque made Commandant of the National Defence College, or NDC.
· Major General ASM Ridwanur Rahman appointed Director General of the National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre, or NTMC.
