At least two people have died after their motorcycle collided head-on with a truck in Nachole Upazila in Chapainawabganj.

The accident took place around 6am on Sunday at the Benipur intersection on the Nachole-Adda road, said Nachole Police Station chief Sukomal Chandra Debnath.

The dead were identified as Sohag, 17, and Rabiul Awal, 22. Sohag hailed from Nachole Upazila and Rabiul Awal hailed from Shibganj Upazila. They were brothers in law.

Sukomal said that Sohag and Awal were headed towards Naogaon on a motorcycle in the morning. On the way, their motorcycle collided head-on with a truck.

After the accident, locals rescued them and took them to Nachole Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared both of them dead.

The police officer said the bodies were handed over to their families. A case is being filed at the police station over the incident, he said.
