Gazipur, July 31 (BDNEWS) – A criminal case has been filed against four officials of Jamuna Beverage Company Limited, including its chairman Nurul Islam Babul, on charge of mixing excessive alcohol in its three soft drinks.
Three other accused of the case are - wife of Babul Salma Islam, his son Shamim Islam and Suroj Ali.
Jamuna Beverage Limited recently started marketing its soft drinks - Pineapple, Crown and Lemon. But, the presence of excessive alcohol (1.35 percent) was found in the report of the chief chemical examiner of Narcotics Control Directorate
Inspector of narcotics control office of Gazipur circle Md Fazlul Huq Khan Saturday filed the case against the four officials.
