Doctors said he was suffering from old age complications.

A namaz-e-janaza organised by members of his family was held at his residence in Uttara early on Tuesday.

Hasan Arif of Sammilito Sangskritik Jote told bdnews24.com, “Belal Mohammad’s body will be brought to Central Shahid Minar at 11am on Wednesday where people from all walks of life can pay their last respects. Then after 12:30pm it will be taken to Dhaka University Central Mosque for his namaz-e-janaza.”

From there Belal Mohammed’s body will be taken to ‘Bangladesh Betar Kendro’ at Shahbagh where the people will pay him tribute.

Belal Mohammad’s body, in keeping with his wishes, will be donated to Bangabandhu Medical College.
