Barisal, June 4 (BDNEWS0 – Students of Barisal Polytechnic Institute launched attacks Sunday at the college compound including the room of the Principal and resorted to violent vandalism.
Sources said, the tussle occurred over distribution of scholarships of the fifth and seventh intake of Industrial training Department and holding inter department football tournament.
" The allocation of scholarship reached Polytechnic Institute one month before, the authorities might have stolen the money" Raihan, a student articulated his apprehension.
The agitated students later ransacked almost all the departments.
While talking to the newsmen the Acting Principal said, the authorities agreed to realise the demands soon.
