Dhaka, March 12 (bdnews24.com)—The small island kingdom of Bahrain, located in the Arabian Gulf, has proposed setting up a diplomatic mission in Dhaka, the foreign ministry said in a statement Wednesday.
The proposal came as Bahrain's foreign affairs minister Sheikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Al Khalifa met his Bangladesh counterpart Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury in Dakar, the Senegalese capital.
The two officials are attending a summit of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference in the west-African nation.
They discussed the possible launch of direct air links between Dhaka and Manama, the capital of Bahrain.
