Dhaka, May 17 (BDNEWS) - Ashraf-ud-Doula, currently High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Australia, has been appointed Ambassador to Japan.
He joined the Bangladesh Foreign Service in 1977. During his diplomatic career, he has held important positions in the ministry of foreign affairs and served in the Bangladesh missions in Berlin, Rome, London, Singapore, Canberra and Colombo in various capacities.
He was also Ambassador of Bangladesh to Vietnam prior to his appointment as High Commissioner to Australia in October 2004, a press release said.
