Ashraf-Mueen judgement starts

The second war crimes tribunal of Bangladesh has started delivering their verdict on two Al Badr leaders Ashrafuzzaman Khan and Chowdhury Mueen-Uddin.

The ICT-2 chairman Justice Obaidul Hassan started the proceedings with his initial remarks at 11am on Sunday.

After that, Justice Shahinur Islam started reading out the first part of the judgement.

The other tribunal judge, Justice Mujibur Rahman Mia will read out the second part of the judgement.

A total 41 pages of the 154-page verdict will be read out.
"Both the accused are absconding. The certified copy of the judgement will be handed over to the prosecution after it has been delivered. But it can be only handed over to defence, if both accused surrender," Justice Obaildul Hassan said in his initial remarks .
