The military officer was first appointed to this post in August 2013 and recently went on pre-retirement leave (PRL).
The Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday said he was reappointed for a year on contractual basis, cancelling the PRL.
The appointment is effective from Jan 10 or the date of his joining the post.
He joined Bangladesh Army in 1979.
Kuwait is one of the labour sending destinations for Bangladesh.
The Middle-Eastern country has been recruiting workers from Bangladesh since 1976.
Around 480,000 Bangladeshis have so far gone to that country to work, according to the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET).
But the recruitment had been stopped for seven years until last year due to irregularities in recruitment process and the workers’ involvement in illegal activities.
