Dhaka, Feb 27 (bdnews24.com) – The bloody mutiny by BDR personnel was a result of a "pre-planned conspiracy" and crores of taka were spent on making it happen, the state minister for local government said Friday.
"We've talked to the BDR members and come to know the mutiny conspiracy was on for many days," Jahangir Kabir Nanak told reporters at the BDR headquarters.
"Crores of taka was spent to execute the conspiracy," said Nanak, who negotiated with the mutineers.
He said several people had been shouting slogans to instigate the BDR rebels while the negotiators were trying to end the mutiny Wednesday and Thursday.
"Those involved in the incident will be given exemplary punishment," Nanak said.
