Woman's dismembered, decomposed body found in Adabor canal

Police have recovered the dismembered body of a woman from a canal in Dhaka’s Adabor.

The body was recovered around 5pm on Saturday after police received information about it, Adabor Police chief Md Zahidul Islam said.

He said the decomposed body was found in a canal near the Hakkar intersection in Adabor-10.

According to the officer, two severed hands and a head have been recovered as the search at the site continues.

Tejgaon Division Deputy Commissioner Ibne Mizan said the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) have been informed to help identify the middle-aged woman.

Police are also collecting CCTV footage from the surrounding area, he added.
