After Eid-ul-Azha prayers, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has visited the graves of his father, martyred president Ziaur Rahman, and mother, former prime minister Khaleda Zia.
The premier and his wife Zubaida Rahman went to the graves at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar after attending the Eid congregation at the National Eidgah on Thursday morning.
They first visited the graves privately, reciting from the Quran and taking part in a prayer.

Then Tarique, who is also the BNP chairman, took part in another recitation and a prayer service alongside other party leaders.
Alongside them, he laid floral wreaths at the graves afterwards.
Members of the BNP Standing Committee, including Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed and Social Welfare Minister AZM Zahid Hossain, Political Advisor to the Prime Minister and Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Defence Advisor AKM Shamsul Islam, State Minister for Local Government Mir Shahe Alam, and Dhaka North City Corporation Administrator Shafiqul Alam Milton accompanied him.
