Five units from the Mirpur and Kurmitola fire stations are able to tame the fire after half an hour

A fire at the BRP Slum in Dhaka’s Vashantek has been brought under control after half an hour.
The fire was brought under control through the efforts of five firefighting units on Thursday, according to Fire Service spokesman Talha Bin Jashim.
“The fire was reported at 11am and the Fire Service arrived at the scene and began firefighting efforts at 11:13am. Five units from the Mirpur and Kurmitola fire stations joined the firefighting effort,” he said.
He was unable to provide an initial assessment of the cause of the fire or the extent of the damages.
