Previously, four private colleges were nationalised during the past four years of current Awami League-led ruling.
The colleges that were brought under government control on Wednesday are
(1) Hazi Mohsin College of Satkhira’s Shyamnagar.
(2)LBK Degree College in Dakope of Sylhet.
(3) Hazi Muhammad Mohsin College in Dakope in Sylhet.
(4)Bangabandhu College in Rupsha of Sylhet.
(5) Zillur Rahman Women’s College in Bhairab.
(6) Birsrestha Nur Mohammad Degree College in Sharsha of Jessore.
(7) Birsrestha Shahid Hamidur Rahman College in Jhenaidah.
(8)Hazi Abdul Aziz Khan Degree College in Netrokona’s Hazi abdul Aziz Khan.
