Mohammad Abdul Momen, senior secretary to the Public Security Division and the Security Services Division of Bangladesh’s Ministry of Home Affairs, has resigned.
His resignation was confirmed by a home ministry official on Tuesday.
The source, who wished to remain anonymous, told bdnews24.com: “I have learnt that he has resigned and will be the chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission. The chief advisor has approved it. However, no notification has been released in this regard. It could be issued on Tuesday.”
According to an official of the home ministry, Momen tendered his resignation to the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday.
He was appointed to the position of senior secretary of the home ministry on Aug 18.
