Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has assured that no one will face discrimination on the basis of political identity.

He also said the gazette for the remaining 46 candidates selected for appointment to the special education cadre through the 49th batch of the Bangladesh Civil Service will be issued on Monday.

Speaking at an emergency press conference at his office on Thursday, the home minister said, “We assure you, we guarantee that no one will face any discrimination because of their political identity. There is a prescribed timeframe for issuing the gazette for appointments. Monday has been set as the date for issuing the gazette for the remaining 46 candidates.”

“There are some procedures to be completed before that. The file for the gazette has to follow the necessary process up to the president. I would request everyone to be patient and wait,” the home minister said.

Calling on people not to spread misleading information or create unrest, Salahuddin said: “I sincerely request those who are spreading such information or misinformation and attempting or making efforts to create instability to refrain from such activities.”
