Court sends 15 suspects to jail over assault, arson, looting at Prothom Alo office

A Dhaka court has sent 15 people to jail in connection with the attack, vandalism, looting, and arson at the Prothom Alo office.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saifuzzaman on Monday rejected their bail applications, ordering their detention, according to Sub-Inspector Selim Reza of the prosecution.

The suspects are: Naim Islam, Sagar Islam, Ahad Sheikh, Biplob, Nazrul Islam alias Minhaj, Jahangir, Sohel Mia, Hasan, Mohammad Rasel, Abdul Baker Sheikh alias Alamin, Rashedul Islam, Saidur Rahman, Abul Kashem, Pranto Sikdar, and Raju Ahmed.
