Airport customs officials have recovered 20 gold bars weighing two kilograms from Sylhet Osmani International Airport.

The gold bars were found on a Bangladesh Biman flight that arrived from Dubai at around 8am on Tuesday, said Sylhet Airport Customs Deputy Commissioner Ahsan Ullah.
“Customs officials conducted a search on flight BG-248 from Dubai when it reached Sylhet. Twenty gold bars were recovered from the bottom of a seat during the search, the market value of which is approximately Tk 11.5 million,” he said.
However, the police did not detain anyone.
