19 promoted to secretary

The government has promoted 19 additional secretary-level officials to full secretary rank. Of the newly promoted officials, 18 were posted as acting secretaries in recent months to ministries and divisions including information, power, food, labour, social welfare, environment, planning and internal resources.

Dhaka, August 4 (bdnews24.com) – The government has promoted 19 additional secretary-level officials to full secretary rank.
Of the newly promoted officials, 18 were posted as acting secretaries in recent months to ministries and divisions including information, power, food, labour, social welfare, environment, planning and internal resources.
The recommendations for promotion had already been made at a meeting of the Superior Selection Board, establishment secretary Iqbal Mahmud told bdnews24.com Tuesday.
According to the establishment ministry order, the promoted officials are:
Golam Mostakim, director general of Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Academy
Nasiruddin Ahmed, acting secretary of internal resources division and chairman of National Board of Revenue
Mohammad Habibullah Majumder acting secretary of planning division
Mihir Kanti Majumder, acting secretary at environment and forests affairs ministry
Samar Chandra Pal, acting secretary at rural development and co-operatives division
Ilyas Ahmed, acting secretary at expatriates' welfare and overseas employments affairs ministry
Mohammad Ataharul Islam, acting secretary at labour and employment ministry
Mokhlesur Rahman, acting secretary at food and disaster management ministry
Abdul Malek, acting secretary at IMED division
Shafiul Alam, acting secretary at president's office
AKM Abdul Awal Majumder, acting secretary at science, information and communications ministry
Hedayet Ullah Al Mamun, acting secretary at civil aviation and tourism affairs ministry
Kamrun Nesa Khanam, acting secretary at social welfare ministry
Mahbubur Rahman, acting secretary at housing and public works ministry
Mozammel Haq Khan, acting secretary at CHT affairs ministry
Abul Kalam Azad, acting secretary at power division
Manjur Hossain, acting secretary at local government division
Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, acting secretary at information ministry
Mahbub Ahmed, acting secretary at youths and sports ministry
