A motorcycle is seen speeding away moments after a gunshot is heard

A CCTV video has captured the moment Sharif Osman Bin Hadi, a potential independent candidate for Dhaka-8 and convenor of Inqilab Moncho platform, was shot while distributing leaflets in Dhaka’s Bijoynagar.

He came under attack at 2:25pm on Friday, shortly after Jummah prayers, when assailants arrived on a motorcycle and fired before speeding away.

Footage of the incident has spread across social media, where a single gunshot is heard before a motorcycle accelerates away from the scene.
