A Qatar Airways flight from Doha was met by security personnel after landing at London Gatwick Airport early Thursday following an onboard incident involving a disruptive passenger, according to aviation website AirLive.
AirLive reported that flight QR329, operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner registered as A7-BHW, was flying over Switzerland at about 04:29 GMT when the pilots contacted Gatwick air traffic control and requested that local airport security and police meet the aircraft on arrival.
According to AirLive, the request was made because of a disruptive passenger on board.
The aircraft landed at Gatwick at about 06:30 local time, 10 minutes ahead of its scheduled 06:40 arrival. It then taxied directly to the North Terminal, where security officers were waiting to deal with the situation.
AirLive reported that it remained unclear whether any arrests were made or whether the incident caused delays to subsequent flights.
